Year 6 Week 4

Date: 30th Sep 2020 @ 6:40pm

This week the children have been working super hard after their remote learning at home. But! No catching up for us as they had remembered so much from our zoom lessons, which is brilliant!

In maths, we have been looking at the place value of decimals and using our place value grids and counters to show different numbers as well as mentally adding and subtracting digits. The children even completed reasoning questions on this concept.

Daily Mile

As it is 'Healthy Schools Week' the children have been running the 'daily mile' every single day to see if they could improve their fitness and set targets which could be improved each time they engaged. Please see our gallery for photos - we have been running in rain or shine.

We also looked at meat and if it was completely necessary in our diets - the children debated their ideas and created some excellent posters too.
