Girls' Football Team

Year 5 and 6 football league

On Monday 2nd March 2020, our year 5 and 6 girls played against many schools across Manchester in a football league. Every individual played to a great standard. They worked as a team, creating some great opportunities and their passing has most certainly developed. The girls played against some challenging teams but their determination help them get the result they wanted. Out of 5 games the girls won 4 and drew 1.

A big well done to them all.

Year 5 and 6

On Tuesday 28th January, our year 5 and 6 girls attended the Cliff Training Ground and competed against many schools in a football competition. Every game was exciting to watch as the girls shown some great skill and confidence when on the ball. All of the games were challenging, however our team came second overall, winning 3 out of the 4 games.

Well done girls, you played amazing!

24th September 2018

Our year 5 and 6 girls did fantastic in their first football competition after the summer break! They shown confidence and determination throughout all the games, which resulted in 3 wins and 1 draw. Working hard in training has definitely improved the girls control on the ball, which helped them keep possession.

We are extremely impressed with the first results and the girls are looking forward to the next round.

Year 5 and 6 Football League

Abbott's Year 5 and 6 girls have been involved in a local Primary school football league, which has been taking place at the Manchester Communication Academy. The girls have played against many primary schools within the Manchester area.

It was fantastic to see the children looking smart in their school football kit and the standard of the football was very impressive.  The girls showed great sportsmanship throughout the competition and had a positive attitude even when the game didn’t go their way.

Well done girls!

Year 4 and 5 Football

Our year 4 and 5 girls have been participating in a football league organised by Manchester City Football Club.  This is the first year that Abbott have had a girl’s football team and they have gone from strength to strength.

All the girls have developed their confidence and their skills have really improved. They should all be proud of themselves.
