Y6 have had a very, very busy week learning all about cushion covers. They looked at the difference between aesthetic and functional designs and analysed a variety of covers, which have then inspired the children's own designs! Many of the children opted to design more aesthetically pleasing designs as we are near Christmas and many wanted to give theirs as gifts. We found some aspects challenging such as sewing poppers on - they were very fiddly! We were successful however at using backstitch - it looked so much neater!
