Roald Dahl Day, Climate Change and more...

Date: 19th Sep 2023 @ 8:02am

The weeks continue to be super busy here in Year 6!

In geography, we finished looking at how climate change is affecting the world. We looked at different countries and discovered that they are all being affected in different ways because the earth is getting warmer due to an increase in carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. The children looked at the advantages and disadvantages to this and even looked at renewable energy and how this will help to save our planet!

In English this week, we looked at the life and work of Roald Dahl and wrote biographies all about his very interesting life! Some of us even dressed up as our favourite Roald Dahl book characters!

In science, we started to look at the circulatory system and how our heart works. We had so much fun making our own heart models! This really helped us to undertsand how the valves in our heart open and close.
