🌟 Our Learning This Week 🌟
It has been another busy and exciting week of learning in our class!
📚 English
We have started reading Bog Baby and the children have been enjoying getting to know the story and its characters. We have also been using our imaginations to write some beautiful descriptions of Bluebell Woods, thinking carefully about the sights, sounds and colours we might see there. 🌳💙
🔢 Maths
In maths, we have continued to practise counting forwards and backwards to 10. We have also been challenging ourselves to work out missing numbers in sequences, developing our number recognition and reasoning skills. 🔢
🧍 Science
We have started learning about the human body. This week, we focused on naming different body parts and learning the correct vocabulary to describe our bodies.
🔬 Scientist of the Half Term – Michelle Williams
Our scientist of the half term is Michelle Williams, a radiologist. The children were fascinated to learn about what a radiologist does and how they use X-rays to look inside the body. They particularly enjoyed looking at different X-ray images and discussing what they could see! 🩻
⚽ PE
In PE, we have continued to work on improving our ball skills, practising our throwing, catching and coordination. We also had lots of fun playing ‘Copy Cats’, where the children had to mirror the movements of their partner. There were lots of smiles and some very creative movements! 🐱
Well done, everyone, for another fantastic week of learning! 🌟
