All things Pancakey!

Date: 1st Mar 2020 @ 2:00pm

In Nursery we love themed days so when we knew Pancake day was happening in our first week back we couldn't have been more excited! So what did we do? We themed the whole week around it!

We have been reading the story Mr Wolf's Pancakes and helping him design new pancakes as well as discussing how it is important to help our friends. We practiced our fine motor skills by cutting out our favourite toppings for our pancakes (lots of bananas and strabwerries!) We used the bats, bean bags and PE spots and pretended we were flipping panckes and had to count how many times we could flip them without dropping them. The winner was Bobby with 24 times! We think this may be a world record. We used our great counting skills to make different amounts of toppings at the maths table showing how we can match quantities to a number. We made our own playdough pancakes but the most enjoyable activity was making our very own pancakes to eat of course. They looked and tasted delicious! Overall It has been a fantastic first week back! take a look at some of us in action.
