Autumn 1 in the Rainbow Room

Date: 6th Sep 2016 @ 9:50pm

Welcome back!

At the end of last year, the children who work in the Rainbow Room were asked to choose topics that they would like to learn more about in our literacy learning this year. The most popular choice was "Bugs and Insects" and will be our topic this half term. We will be reading Roald Dahl's "James and the Giant Peach", completing lots of different pieces of writing as we read the story together.

In Maths, we will be working on our calculations, focusing on number facts, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division.

The children will also access Lexia Core 5 every day which is a computer programme designed to further children's comprehension, inference and spelling skills.
