Autumn 1- Week 3

This week, in English, we have started to read Bog Baby. So far, we have found out that the children went to Bluebell Woods alone and used this as a stimulus to write a setting description. The children thought of some wonderful adjectives to use in their writing. In maths, we have started to compare numbers using greater than, less than and equal to. This was quite tricky to understand, but the children spent lots of time in the provision helping them to understand the symbols to compare numbers. In Geography, we have explored the countries that make up the UK and their capital cities. 

Also, this week was National Coding Week! The children enjoyed some unplugged coding activities to help the pirates find the treasure; they followed the instructions very well!
