Autumn 1- Week 4

Date: 28th Sep 2023 @ 12:25pm

This week was extra special because the children got to take part in their first vote! They had to vote for which Year 6 child they wanted as their house captain.

In English, we have continued to Bog Baby and the children have written fantastic character descriptions, using lots of great adjectives. In maths, we have begun to understand addition through the use of part-part-whole models. To do this, the children have been working collaboratively and supporting each other, which they are getting very good at. In Geography, we found out that the land in the local area is used for lots of different things such as residential (homes, flats); economic (shops, supermarkets, restaurants); public services (schools, churches, youth centres, doctors, hospitals), transport (roads, railways), open spaces (playgrounds, parks).

Reminder: Reading books will be changed on Mondays and library books will be changed on Wednesdays.
