Black History Month

Date: 23rd Oct 2020 @ 2:06pm

During Black History Month, we learnt about lots of inspirational people. We focussed our learning on black music artists. The two artists we looked at were Heather Small, who is an English soul singer and Stormzy, a British rapper.

We learnt and performed Heather Small's famous song 'Proud'. The lyrics were really inspiring. It made us think about all of the things we had done that we were proud of and we created story boards. You can see the video of us performing the song in our gallery

Stormzy is a well-known British rapper he has many famous songs. We watched the music video for his song 'Superheroes. The song is all about believing in yourself and your abilities. We listened carefully to the lyrics of his rap and then wrote our own raps about Black History Month. You can see some of us performing our raps in the gallery!
