Bread experiment

Date: 17th Nov 2020 @ 8:17am

To round off our science topic 'Classifying living things' we learnt all about good and bad bacteria. When looking at this, we learnt about Carl Linnaeus' 5 Kingdoms and learnt that mould was classified in this as it is a living thing!

We therefore set up an experiment to test 'the growing rate of mould' on bread and changed just one thing. Some of us wanted to know if dry bread would grow mould quicker than wet bread. Some of us wanted to know if mould would grow quicker in darkness than in light and last of all some of us even wanted to know if mould would go quicker in cool or warm temperatures.
