Caterpillar to Butterfly!

Nursery have done a fantastic job at caring for their caterpillars this half term. We waited patiently, watching our caterpillars grow bigger and bigger each day until they made their cocoons. Then we waited a little bit longer until one day we noticed that a butterfly had popped out of their cocoon! They were so beautiful and they had orange, black and white wings. We took the butterflies into our school garden and used our kind, gentle hands to carefully hold them until they were ready to fly away. We hope the butterflies enjoy the flowers in our garden and make lots of new butterfly friends!
