📚✨ Celebrating National Poetry Day! ✨📚

Today is National Poetry Day, and we have been celebrating the joy of poetry throughout school!

Our younger children have been enjoying sharing and performing poems together, bringing the words to life with lots of enthusiasm and expression. Meanwhile, our older children have been getting creative and writing their very own poems, exploring language, ideas and imagination.

In EYFS, we joined in with our Say a Poem lesson, where we listened to and enjoyed a fun poem together.
It was wonderful to see the children joining in, remembering the words and having fun with rhythm and rhyme.

Poetry is a wonderful way to share ideas, express feelings and use our imaginations. We hope our children have discovered just how much fun poems can be!
