First week in Year 1

The children have settled into their new class well and are getting used to the new routines :).

They have spent some time in the continuous provision and it has been lovely to see new frienships formed, and get to know the children's likes and interests.

In English, we received a note from Bog Baby telling us that he was hiding in the school grounds, so we went on a hunt to find him! The children then wrote a recount of their hunt. 

In Maths, we have been grouping and sorting different objects, and are recapping our understanding of numbers to 10. 

We have started to learn how to play hockey in our PE lessons; the children now know how to hold a hockey stick correctly.
