Funky Faces and Marvellous Making
Date: 3rd Oct 2025 @ 8:09am
This week we have continued exploring the story Happy to Be Me. The children had lots of fun decorating their own funky face biscuits with icing, raisins and other tasty treats. We then enjoyed eating our creations together while listening to the story Elmer, which reminded us how special it is to be unique.
Outdoors, the children have been busy creating self-portraits using natural materials from the playground. It was lovely to see how imaginative they were, choosing leaves, twigs and stones to represent their features.
We have also been practising our cutting skills. The children loved giving our colourful paper monsters some funky haircuts! They are working hard on holding their scissors correctly and learning how to use them sensibly and safely.
We are so proud of all the hard work and imagination the children have shown this week!
