Halloween Fun!
Date: 31st Oct 2025 @ 12:15pm
What a wonderful week it has been in Nursery! We have been reading The Pumpkin Who Was Afraid of the Dark and the children have loved exploring real pumpkins using all their senses. They have enjoyed feeling the bumpy skin and carefully scooping out the insides. Using spoons and tweezers to collect the seeds gave them a great opportunity to practise their fine motor skills and they showed fantastic concentration throughout.
Our story sparked some thoughtful conversations about things that can make us feel scared. The children shared lots of ideas, from spiders and snakes to worms, and listened well to one another as they talked about their feelings.
Outdoors, there has been lots of excitement as the children created their very own magical potions. With plenty of imagination, they mixed leaves, petals and sticks, coming up with creative spells and stories to go with them!
On Friday, we finished the week with a special Halloween party. The children had so much fun dressing up, dancing, and playing games together.
It’s been a brilliant first week back, full of creativity and fun. We can’t wait to see what adventures next week will bring!
