International Literacy Day

Today, we celebrated International Literacy Day. We spoke about the importance of being able to read and write, and how it can help us in life. The children enjoyed sharing their favourite stories with their friends- they drew a picture of the front cover of their favourite story and wrote a sentence about why they like it. I was so impressed with how the children were using their phonics to help them!
