Maths Trail and Magic Potion
Date: 18th Nov 2022 @ 5:43pm
On Tuesday, we went to explore for examples of maths in Collyhurst. The children realised that numbers, shapes, patterns, speed limits and times were all around them. Working collaboratively, they recorded examples of what they found. On our way back, the children carried out a traffic survey to see which colour was the most popular on vehicles that were driving down Livesey Street. I was very impressed with their efforts and behaviour.
On Thursday, the children made models to show how biceps and triceps work together as a pair to help us move our arms.
And on Friday, we had the chance to take part in the Into Film festival. We walked to into town to see 'Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion'. Asterix wasn't a character we previously knew much about but most children really enjoyed it - especially when relaxing on reclining seats!
