Mental Health Awareness, Computing and more...

Date: 16th May 2021 @ 6:47pm

This week, we have worked very hard in maths learning about angles in a triangle. We investigated triangles by ripping them into three parts and noticing that they make a straight line therefore understanding that angles in a triangle and straight lines are the same! We completed missing number problems as well as learning about different types of triangles.

In computing, we looked at word processing and why having a good knowledge and understanding of 'Microsoft Word' is relevant and important as we move to high school. We looked at why and how 'Word' is used by adults today including: cover letters, job applications, cv's, newspapers, magazines (the list is endless!)

We also enjoyed a local area walk on Friday afternoon ready for our DT project starting next week which is 'Come inside out of the Manchester rain!' We looked at shelters in Collyhurst - their purposes and what materials they are made out of. It was lovely to get out of the classroom after having such a rainy week!

Well done, children, you have worked super hard!
