Microhabitats

Date: 23rd Apr 2026 @ 6:08pm

We became real-life explorers as we headed outside to discover the world of microhabitats and the minibeasts that live there!

We wemt outside and explored different areas of our outdoor space. We looked under sticks, peered beneath stones, searched through grass, remembering to be gentle and respectful to the creatures and their homes.

We discovered a variety of minibeasts, including worms, ants, piders and woodlice.

We talked about why different minibeasts choose different microhabitats and how they are adapted to live there.
