Our Chicks Had Their First Clean Out! 🐣

This morning, some of the big children from Breakfast Club helped me to clean out the chicks for the first time.

While I cleaned their brooder box, the children carefully watched the chicks in a separate box to make sure they were safe and happy. Once their home was nice and clean, the children took turns to gently pick up a chick and place it back into its freshly cleaned brooder box.

The children were very sensible and handled the chicks with great care. I was very proud of how calm and responsible they were.

Later today, it will be Reception and Nursery's turn to stroke the chicks and spend some time with our fluffy visitors.
