Pied Piper-inspired stories

Date: 2nd Dec 2022 @ 10:29am

We finished reading The Pied Piper and the children were astonished by the ending!! For the past two weeks, the children have been building up to writing their own stories inspired by The Pied Piper. Initially, they created a story mountain for The Pied Piper and re-enacted it so they could understand how the story is structured. Then, they worked in teams to develop alternate ideas. E.g. snakes slithering, ants invading, or tigers approaching the city. They then planned and wrote their own, which they worked so hard on! Once the children had finished their stories, they learned how to use Microsoft Word to type them up to be published in our 'class story book'. They can now save a document, change fonts (including the size and colour) insert capital letters, and different punctuation marks, and use the enter key to start a new paragraph.

Take a look at their awesome acting and writing!
