Reception meet the chicks 🐥

This afternoon, Reception had a very special opportunity to hold the chicks!

We sat together in a circle and carefully passed the chicks around. Everyone was very gentle and took great care while holding them. The chicks seemed happy and calm as they enjoyed all the attention.

Some children decided they didn't want to hold the chicks, and that was absolutely fine. They were very brave and enjoyed gently stroking them instead.

Well done, Reception! You were all so sensible and caring. I am sure we will be able to get the chicks out again next week for another cuddle.

The chicks are coming home with me for the weekend, where I will take good care of them. I will also take lots of photographs so that I can share their adventures with you when we return to school!

We can't wait to see how much they've grown by next week!
