Reception week 7

What a magical week we have had in Reception!

On Monday, we watched the pantomime Dick Whittington in school. The children absolutely loved the songs, the characters and joining in with all the funny moments!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, we performed our very own Christmas show. We had such a wonderful time singing and dancing  in the hall. All the children tried so hard to remember their actions and join in with the songs. Well done Reception! We hope all of our families enjoyed watching the show as much as the children enjoyed performing it!

In literacy, we have been reading lots of different Christmas stories to get us into the festive spirit. We have been practising writing CVC Christmas words, and we also wrote our letters to Santa—very exciting!

In maths, we have been doing lots of Christmas counting, using our number skills across lots of festive activities around the classroom.

We have also had great fun making our Christmas cards this week and we can’t wait to send them home for you all to see.

There is still lots more Christmas fun coming up next week, and we are really looking forward to continuing the celebrations together! 🎄✨
