Reception’s First Week – A Marvellous Start to the Year!

We’ve had a wonderful first week back in Reception, and we’re so proud of how well the children have settled in. It has been lovely to see familiar faces return with confidence, as well as to welcome our new starters, who are already becoming a fantastic part of our school community.

This week, we have spent time getting to know our new classroom and exploring the different learning areas, both indoors and outside. The children have enjoyed discovering new resources, engaging in play-based learning, and most importantly, building new friendships.

To finish our first week, we joined in with Roald Dahl Day celebrations on Friday. We shared the story of The Enormous Crocodile and enjoyed a range of fun, crocodile-themed crafts. It was a brilliant end to a busy and exciting first week.

We are incredibly proud of how well the children have adapted to their new routines and environment. We’re looking forward to the learning, laughter, and adventures that lie ahead this term.
