Remote Learning

Date: 10th Feb 2021 @ 2:54pm

I just wanted so share all of the fantastic home learning that has been going on throughout the past few weeks. As well as building upon our maths and English skills, we have been broadening our knowledge in science, geography and computing too!

In English, we had been writing setting descriptions about Colva Prison from our class novel 'Trash'. We worked on extending our sentences through the use of relative clauses and parenthesis as well as identifying the impact a short sentence can have too. Some children even devloped the cohesion between their paragraphs!

Geography had us looking at the National Parks of the UK, our closest National Park is 'The Peak District'. We started to write a holiday leaflet on our interactive mini whiteboards - very persuasive indeed! In science, we learnt about evolution and adaptation understanding why living things have changed over time and how this has happened.

Last of all, in computing we looked at staying safe on the internet and what a digital footprint is and how it is vital to ensure we have a positive digital footprint rather than a negative one or even none at all! We understood how the internet plays a vital role in our lives today and how creating a positive traceable footprint can help us in our lives as we mature and apply for jobs.

Please take a look at the pictures below to see some of our independent home learning!
