Science- Autumn 2

Date: 24th Nov 2020 @ 9:03am

In science this half term, we have been learning all about our bodies. We learnt about the different types of nutrition that our bodies need and which foods provide us with this nutrition. We also learnt that animals need different types of food too. Next, we learnt all about skeletons. There are 3 different types of skeletons: endoskeleton, exoskeleton and hydrostatic skeleton. We researched different animals and found out which skeleton they had. Human’s skeletons are very important and they provide us with protection, movement and support. We constructed our own skeletons and then went on a bone hunt to learn some of the names of the 206 bones in our bodies! We also did different exercises and thought about which muscles we were using to help us move and support us. Take a look at photos of our learning below.
