Sculpting with nature

Year 2 have been exploring the beauty of the natural world through art. Taking inspiration from the British sculptor Richard Long, who is known for creating artworks from materials found in nature, the children set out to collect leaves, twigs, stones, and other natural items from around our school grounds.

They then used their collections to create imaginative sculptures that reflected the shapes, patterns, and textures of the environment around them. It was wonderful to see their creativity flourish as they experimented with arranging natural materials in thoughtful and artistic ways.
