Spring 1: week 5

Date: 31st Jan 2024 @ 4:34pm

This week, Year 4 have been working on more multiplication skills. They have become confident using mathematical language to describe their methods and have been using different visuals representations such as arrays and numberlines. We are becoming faster at multiplication recall so all the hard work on TTRS is having a big effect!

On Friday, we will be doing the NSPCC Rocks Multiplication challenge so make sure the TTRS practice continues please.

In Literacy, we have been considering the thoughts and feelings of characters in The Egyptian Cinderella, as well as creating direct speech we think the characters would say.

We are a class of keen Geographers and have really enjoyed exploring our local area. This week we have discussed what features we think make an area/street attractive. We are using these features to collect data on the attractiveness of streets in Collyhurst and will use this data to plot a scatter graph which will help us test our key question: 'Does the quality of the environment get better the further away from school you are?'
