Spring 2: Week 1

What a wonderful first week back we have had! The children came back to school with a great attitude to learning and were so excited when we received a mystery letter (see our other blog called, 'Where is Dogger?' for more information.

In Maths, the children have learnt about measurement, particularly length and height. They used cubes to help them measure objects around the class and decide if they were taller or shorter. 

We have started our history unit where the children will be learning about Great Explorers. They have learnt about Ranulph Fiennes who is the first man to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Additionally, they have learnt all about Amy Johnson who was the first female to fly from England to Australia on her own!
