Week 3

Date: 12th Mar 2021 @ 3:56pm

It has been so good to get back into the classroom! I was really impressed with the children's efforts and work on Zoom and Google Classroom, but it has been brilliant to be back in. The children have settled so quickly and there has been lots of outstanding behaviour, especially when welcoming new teachers and pupils.

This week we have been reading 'Little Evie in the Wild Woods' and exploring how the words writers choose can change the atmosphere and mood of the writing. A special well done to Mehwish, who used fantastic expression when reading our book out loud and Kavin, this week's Star Learner for his cheerful playground poem. We have begun our latest Science unit all about how plants grow and have made some cress caterpillars. We also set up an experiment to prove that plants need light and water to grow well, but we'll have to wait until next week to see the results...
