What a Fabulous First Half Term!

Date: 16th Oct 2025 @ 7:46pm

This week in Nursery we have been making the most of our time outdoors, looking closely at the signs of autumn all around us. The children loved collecting leaves, spotting changes in the trees and talking about the colours they could see.

We have also been developing our gross motor skills by zooming around on the bikes and practising climbing and balancing on the climbing frame. It has been wonderful to see the children’s confidence growing.

Inside the classroom, the children enjoyed printing on playdough, experimenting with making marks and patterns using different tools. Our magnatiles have sparked lots of excitement too! The children have been exploring 2D shapes and using their imagination to build rockets, houses and towers.

In the home corner, role play has been in full swing, with lots of lovely conversations and teamwork as the children pretended to cook, clean and care for their “families.”

As we come to the end of our first half term together, we are so proud of how the children have settled into Nursery life. They have made friends, grown in independence and embraced every new experience with enthusiasm. We can’t wait to see what adventures await us next term!
