Chinese New Year across the school
Lesson: Geography
To celebrate the Lunar New Year - specifically Chinese New Year - children from Reception to Year 6 spent some time working with an artist from China to learn some Chinese ribbon dancing. As well as this, we spent a whole day learning about the stories behind the festival and how it is celebrated. These practical, hands-on sessions have been a great way to celebrate and learn about other cultures and customs. We also had a special assembly where children explained and showed off all of their hard work. This is part of our international ethos, as recognised by our British Council International Schools Award. Take a look at some of the activities in this gallery. Class blogs have more photos from each class too!
